These ‘sibling pieces,’ as I like to call them, are the ceramic paintings alongside the principal pieces that I create. During the making process, these pads of clay get the left-over paint (clay) that would otherwise be discarded. I try not to look and pay too much attention to any paint applied to them as to preserve an authentic acceptance of severed attention. Upon completion I mount and custom frame each piece on locally sourced wood.
