This piece is a ceramic painting, which means it was painted on a clay slab with different clay slips mixed to my desired viscosities. This process combines my favorite parts of painting and pottery and braids them into a new technique of its very own. It affords me with the opportunity to engage in the grounding presence of creating a painting a well as with the unpredictability and wildness of ceramics.
