Blates have the real-estate of a plate and the safety of bowl, I always like to say. This piece was hand thrown by me and is food, microwave and dishwasher safe. It is discounted because it is slightly oblong and has a small rough spot on the inside (likely a piece of bentonite, which is a common mineral found in most glazes that did not breakdown. See last photo.). This piece is still functional and ready to eat on the couch!
